REHEARSALS
A rehearsal isn’t about perfection. It’s about confidence, clarity, and making sure everyone knows exactly what’s happening on the day. Not every wedding needs one, but when it’s useful, it can make a world of difference.
DO WE NEED A REHEARSAL?
The short answer is: sometimes.
Rehearsals are most helpful when:
-
There’s a large bridal party
-
Family members have roles in the ceremony
-
Cultural or symbolic elements are involved
-
The venue layout is unfamiliar
-
The ceremony includes multiple moving parts
-
Couples want added peace of mind
For simpler ceremonies, a rehearsal often isn’t necessary. I’ll always give you an honest recommendation based on your specific plans, not a default answer.
WHAT HAPPENS AT A REHEARSAL?
A rehearsal is a relaxed walk-through of the ceremony so everyone understands:
-
Where to stand
-
When to move
-
How the processional works
-
How the ceremony flows from start to finish
There’s no pressure and no performance involved. It’s simply about removing uncertainty so the day itself feels calm and effortless.
THE STELLARBRANT REHEARSAL 'BOOTCAMP'
As part of the process, every couple receives a copy of my Stellarbrant 'Bootcamp' Rehearsal Booklet.
This guide walks you through:
-
How a ceremony is structured
-
What each person’s role is
-
Common questions and misconceptions
-
How to prepare without overthinking it
-
What actually matters on the day
Many couples find this just as helpful as the rehearsal itself. It allows everyone to arrive feeling prepared, confident, and on the same page, even if a rehearsal isn’t required
WHO ATTENDS
Rehearsals usually include:
-
The couple
-
The bridal party
-
Anyone with a speaking or ceremonial role
-
Parents or family members involved in the processional
If numbers need to be kept small, I’ll help you decide who truly needs to be there.
WHEN REHEARSALS TAKE PLACE
Rehearsals are usually held:
-
As close to the ceremony date as possible
-
At the ceremony venue where possible or a convenient location
-
At a time that suits the couple and key participants
They typically run for 20–40 minutes, depending on the complexity of the ceremony.
MY ROLE ON THE DAY
During the rehearsal, my role is to:
-
Guide everyone through the ceremony step by step
-
Answer questions clearly and calmly
-
Adjust timing or positioning if needed
-
Make sure everyone feels confident and relaxed
By the end, there should be no guesswork left, just clarity and confidence.
ARE REHEARSALS INCLUDED?
Rehearsals are included in the Full Stellarbrant Package, to be held in Melbourne metro.
For other packages, a rehearsal can be added if required, depending on availability and location.
If you’re unsure whether you need one, I’ll always give you an honest recommendation based on your ceremony.
