Ceremony PLANNING

A wedding ceremony doesn’t need to be complicated — but it does need to feel right.

This page explains how ceremonies are structured, what can be personalised, and how I work with couples to create something that feels natural, meaningful, and easy from start to finish.

WHAT A CEREMONY ACTUALLY INVOLVES

At its core, a wedding ceremony has three elements:

  1. The legal requirements

  2. The structure and flow

  3. The personal elements that make it yours

My role is to bring those together in a way that feels seamless, not scripted. Every ceremony I deliver is tailored to suit the couple, the setting, and the atmosphere you want to create, whether that’s relaxed and light-hearted, formal and traditional, or somewhere in between

HOW PERSONALISED CAN A CEREMONY BE?

As a celebrant, I can personalise almost every part of your ceremony.

This can include:

  • Tone and style

  • Personal stories

  • Vows (written or guided)

  • Readings or rituals (religious or secular)

  • Music choices

  • Cultural or family elements

Some couples want something deeply personal and story-driven. Others prefer something simple, elegant, and to the point. Both are completely valid — and both are handled with the same level of care.

STRUCTURE, FLOW & TIMING

Most ceremonies run between 15–30 minutes, depending on the level of personalisation.

I’ll guide you through:

  • How the ceremony is structured

  • When music or readings fit best

  • Where vows and legal wording sit

  • How to keep everything flowing naturally

Nothing feels rushed, awkward, or over-rehearsed.

YOUR INVOLVEMENT IN THE PROCESS

WHAT I TAKE CARE OF

Some couples want to be deeply involved in shaping their ceremony. Others prefer to provide a few key details and leave the rest to me. Both approaches work. I’ll meet you where you’re at, guide you through the process, and make sure everything feels comfortable and stress-free — from first meeting to the final words on the day.
